Red Velvet Cake

 Ingredients:

	1/2 cup shortening
	1 1/2 cup sugar
	2 beaten eggs
	2 oz red food coloring
	2 Tbsp cocoa
	1 tsp salt
	1 cup buttermilk
	2 1/2 cup flour
	1 tsp vanilla
	Frosting
	7 1/2 Tbsp flour
	1 1/2 cup milk
	1 1/2 cup sugar
	1 1/2 cup butter
	1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Instructions:
	Cream shortening, sugar and slightly beaten eggs
	Make a paste of red foold coloring and cocoa
	Add to creamed mixture
	Add salt and buttermilk and mix slowly
	Add 2 1/2 cup flour.
	Mix vinegar and soda
	Add to cake
	Add vanilla DO NOT beat after adding flour
	Grease and flour 2 9" round cake pans
	Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees
	Frosting
	Cook flour and milk until thick
	Cool
	Cream sugar butter and vanilla
	Add paste and beat until fluffy like whipped cream
