1/2 cup shortening 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla 1 cup flour 1/2 tsp soda 1/4 tsp salt 1 cup crushed corn flakes 1 cup rolled oats 1/2 cup coconut Instructions: Combine shortening, sugar, brown sugar, egg, vanilla Sift and add flour, soda and salt Stir in flakes, oats and coconut Make into balls, flatten slightly Bake at 350 for 8 minutes
