Curried Pork Chops and Apricots

 Ingredients:

	2 tablespoons oil
	6 pork chops, 1 inch thick
	1 can apricot halves, drained, reserve syrup
	1 medium onion, finely chopped
	1/4 cup butter
	1/3 cup flour
	1 teaspoon salt
	1/2 teaspoon curry powder
	1 cup milk
	1 cup reserved syrup and/or apricot nectar
	1 can sliced mushrooms (optional)

Instructions:
	Brown chops in oil. Place in ungreased 9x13 pan. Arrange apricot halves cut side down on meat.
	In skillet, saute onion in butter. Stir in flour, salt and curry powder. Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is bubbly. Stir in milk and nectar gradually; heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil one minute. Stir in mushrooms. Pour sauce over chops.
	Cover tightly; bake 45 minutes at 350'. Uncover; bake additional 15 minutes.
