Apple Pie Jam

 Ingredients:

	7 cups chopped apples
	3/4 teaspoon butter
	1 cup brown sugar
	2 teaspoons vanilla
	1 pkg pectin
	1/2 cup water
	2 cups granulated sugar
	3/4 cup brown sugar
	1 teaspoon cinnamon
	dash nutmeg

Instructions:
	Combine first 4 ingredients and cook until apples are soft. Smash the apples slightly, as desired. Add pectin and water. Bring to a boil. Add remaining ingredients. Return to a boil and boil for 1 minute. Pour into jars.
	Yield: 2 pint jars or 3 12-oz jars+
